Best Hiking Trails around Barcelona

Barcelona is a city located in Catalonia, Spain, known for its rich history, culture, and architecture. While the city is primarily known for its urban landscapes, there are also several hiking trails in Barcelona that offer visitors the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the region.

One popular Barcelona hiking trail is the Collserola Camí de les Aigües, which is located just outside of Barcelona. This trail offers beautiful views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. The Camí de les Aigües Barcelona hiking trail is about 8.5 km (5.3 miles) long and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. It’s considered a moderate hike, and it’s a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some fresh air.

Another popular destination for Hiking near Barcelona is the Tibidabo mountain,  a hill located in the Collserola mountain range, at 512 meters (1,680 ft) above sea level, offers a panoramic view of the city, this hike is considered moderate and takes around 3-4 hours to complete.

For those looking for a more urban Barcelona hiking experience, there are also several hiking trails located within the city of Barcelona itself. For example, the Montjuic Castle, which is located on top of the Montjuic hill. This castle offers great views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea, the hike is relatively easy and takes about 2-3 hours to complete.

For those who want a more challenging hike around Barcelona, we recommend hiking in the nearby Montserrat Natural Park, which is located about an hour from the city.
